I actually have to upgrade WordPress 2.2.1 to be 2.3.1 to solve this problem because the editor that came with WordPress 2.2.1 does not provide functionalities like Bold, Italic, Align, to name a few. In other words, WordPress 2.2.1 does not provide rich-text editors. Although I solved this hyperlink problem, another new one emerged. Does WordPress 2.3.1 allow us to post embedded codes for Google or YouTube videos or do we have to download a plugin to solve this problem? I will find out and keep you informed.
Update: I found the answer for posting embedded Google/YouTube codes in WordPress blog. Check it out in this post: Posting Your Videos With WordPress.
