Want to Know Some Keyword Picking Strategies?

It is incorrect to believe that the top search terms are the best choices for keywords. This seems logical but it doesn’t take into account the competition. Picking keywords that match the advertiser’s business usually has more of an impact.

The use of special modifiers narrows the field a bit so that you will attract a higher quality audience. For example, use the term “flower gardening” instead of just “gardening” and you will eliminate the crowd that is more interested in vegetable gardening. “Perennial flower gardening” would be even more specific.

There isn’t much benefit to an advertiser if the receive many clicks but below average conversion rates. Viewers who are merely clicking on ads and not purchasing anything are only costing the advertiser money. Drawing more likely candidates requires well targeted keywords. This results in a better conversion rate and better ROI.

To get traffic to your site, you need to figure out what keywords you want to use. Think about your product and think about what the product will do for the customer. And from there you can figure out what keywords you want to add. This way you will get a lot of clicks to your site and then you will have potential conversion.

It helps to consider how a customer might think too. According to Google, it is a good idea to create a list of search terms that consumers might use when performing an Internet search for specific goods and services. Think about the various ways they may spell some of those terms. For example, someone searching for low calorie foods might type “light foods” or “lite foods.” To make sure you attract the greatest number of consumers, be sure to incorporate all possible spellings when creating a list of keywords for your site.

It is vital that you keep track of a campaign’s effectiveness. Google’s conversion tracking tool and Google Analytics can help you do this. They can be used to evaluate each new campaign and any revised versions you may use. If you are disappointed with the clicks an ad draws, you can make changes as necessary. Then you can evaluate the results of the changes and fine tune things further if you need to.

Blogging for money is one of the loosest terms in the blogosphere lately and almost everyone has their own blog now. Celebrities, sports stars, rock stars, and even kids have blogs nowadays. With them being so easy to function it is no wonder they’ve become so popular. Blogs are now used to earn an income from. One example is ShoeMoney who became rich from blogging. Now there are many methods of monetizing your blog and your efforts won’t be unnoticed. The more work you put into your blog the more return you will see in the long-run. It will be completely worth it.

In the beginning you shouldn’t be looking for methods to monetize your blog but instead you should be aiming to try and target traffic. The most important part to running a successful blog is the traffic. Without the traffic you won’t be able to get very far in the industry. Millions of blogs are on the Internet. With so many being on the Internet it is difficult to make yours stand out from the others. This is why you should avoid adding ads in the beginning until you’ve established a good amount of steady traffic to your blog. After you’ve accomplished that then implement your ads.

Some great networks to join are Commission Junction and MaxBounty. One is for product sale commissions and the other offers many trail and free cost per action offers.

There is a lot of money that can be made in the blogosphere. Depending on your skills you could have a head start to making money. But no matter what your experience is, you’ll have a chance of making money. It is rather simple to maintain and setup a blog so you shouldn’t have many problems with that. And the networks for ads all have great support and guides for you to follow. Make sure you take the time to read the guidelines and also the rules so that you don’t break them. And then start implementing the ads throughout your established blogs.

Learn About Google AdWords Accounts

I just signed up for Google AdWords account to utilize the Google‘s $100 coupon I’ve got from my Google AdSense account. It will allow webmasters to purchase Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertisements. The following are the steps that show you how I’ve done it:

Go to http://www.adwords.google.com home page. Click on Start now. See below:
Next step sign in with your Google AdSense account. See below:
Next set up time zone and currency. Do it carefully because it can not be changed after being set up. See below:

How to Wrap Your Text Around Google Ads?

Looking for a solution of how to put Google Ads in your post and let the text wrap around it? Then you come to the right place. I am going to show you how to implement it for WordPress. Actually it is not as hard as you might think. All you need to do is to

download a plugin here.
Once you downloaded the file; unzipped it.
I use FireFTP to upload the unzipped file to this folder /wp-content/plugins/. But you can use whatever FTP you want.

One more thing you need to do before you can use this plugin. That is you need to edit adsense.php otherwise you can’t earn money because those codes are not yours.

Open adsense.php file, search down to the middle, and find the lines of and . You need to put your Google Ads between these two lines. Make sure you use the following codes to wrap around them. What I mean is your codes should look like the one below:

left; margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px;">

Your Google Adsense codes go here

You can change to float right, left or center; adjust 5px to meet your needs. By the way margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px represents for top, right, bottom, and left margin spacing respectively. After you made your changes, make sure you save it and upload it back to this folder: /wp-content/plugins/adsense/.

Now login to your WordPress Dashboard, click on Plugins on the Menu Bar, and make sure you activate Adsense. You should see a new button, Adsense, on your editor’s Code Button. Now go ahead and try to click on Adsense button and place the ads wherever you want it to be. See mine on this post. Hope you enjoy it like I do!

If you search in Google or Yahoo about Search Engine Optimization tips, there are countless information out there. Optimizing your website is a must if you want to do good about it. Here I want to talk about how to optimize your WordPress blog for search engines. There are ten important things you need to know if you want the search engines to find your blog.

Use Head Meta Description – This plugin here automatically creates a dynamic header description for your blog. So make sure you get it.
Use SEO Title tag – Title tags are the most important factors for on-page optimization. With this useful plugin, your blog will work like a charm.
Use permalinks – It is very important that you use permalinks so that other bloggers can use them to refer to your posts. My blog only uses %postname% and it is so far so good. Some people like to include /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ and it is fine too.
Make sure your title is in front of url – Suppose you title looks like this: WordPress >> Free SEO Tips for WordPress. You don’t want that. Instead you want this: Free SEO Tips for WordPress<<WordPress because your want the search engines to read your post title first instead of read your blog title first.
Use tags – Download this useful tool here. They are not only allow search engines to crawl your site efficiently but also create specific pages for your tag/keywords.
Put keywords in your title – Keywords are very important words about your blog so make sure you place some keywords in your title.
Use ping service – If you use WordPress software, your default ping service is provided already. I just leave the way it is. Ping service will notify your related sites that you have just posted your blog.
Use Google Sitemaps – Google Sitemap will help index your blog. It will also analyze your blog. If anything is wrong, it will show it to you so that you can fix your problems right away.
Use WordPress robots.txt for your blog – A robots.txt not only helps your blog rank higher in search engines but also increase your blog traffic as well.
Tag related posts together – It helps to link related posts together. It also helps your visitors to learn other relevant information to a specific topic. Besides it allows search engines to crawl deeper to your blog.

Sitemap? What is it? How to Add it to Our Website?

Why do we need to add a sitemap to our website? The answer is that it will help Googlebot to crawl your website more efficiently. Instead of just crawling your main page it will crawl more deeply about other pages of your website as well. Thus it increases the visibility of your website showing up on Google search engine. This means that more people will find your website. If you are running a business website, then you are more likely to get more visitors. Thus you will increase your sales.

Here I want to show you how to add a sitemap to your website using Google Webmaster Tool’s account. If you have a website self-hosted by a web server, then it is easy. Just create a sitemap using Google Sitemap Generator here. Then save it as sitemap.xml file. You can name it whatever name you want. After you’ve done that, upload it to your web server in the root directory using FTP, and finally submit it in Google Webmaster Tools‘ account like this http://www.yourdomainname.com/sitemap.xml. Make sure you change yourdomainname to be your own domain name. It did not give me any problem when I submitted mine.

However it took me pretty long time to figure out how to add a sitemap to my blog which is hosted by Google Blogger and my other blog which is a self-hosted WordPress blog. The self-hosted WordPress blog is in my website’s sub-directory. It gave me hard time when I tried to submit a sitemap through Google Webmaster Tool’s account. In order to make it work I found out from this feed validator web tool that I have to submit it like this http://www.yourdomainname.com/blog/?feed=atom for atom or http://www.yourdomainname.com/blog/feed for RSS. Make sure you change yourdomainname to be your own domain name.

The blog with Google Blogger also gave me hard time. I searched Google Webmaster Help Group and I was guided to add atom.xml to the end of my Blogger’s URL, but I just kept getting errors. At the end I found one error saying, “Paths don’t match. We’ve detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that includes the www prefix (for instance, http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap don’t use the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/myfile.htm).” So I just submitted it like this http://yourdomainname.blogspot.com/atom.xml without www and it works! Make sure you change yourdomainname to be your own domain name. Now all of my sitemaps in my three websites work fine!

Google.com is the world’s most popular searching engine so far. It includes many features such as PageRank, caching, translation of results, options to find similar pages, weather, time, calculator, maps, unit conversion, currency conversion, dictionary definitions, spell checker, and more… In addition, it provides many more Free services. I just picked some well-known ones and listed below:

Google Gmail – It is a Free webmail service. Free sign-up. Most importantly it offers you more other Google services once you have your Gmail account.

Google Pack – It is a software used by Google to collect useful computer applications. Some of them are Google products but some of them are the third party products.

Picasa – It is a Free software download from Google that helps you organize, edit, and share your digital photos. It is very easy to use.

Google AdSense – It is a Google service that offers a contextual advertising solution to web publishers. Besides, it also offers your visitors site search or web search while earning revenue from ads relevant to their search terms.

Google AdWords – This Google service allows you to advertise your ads to all over the relevant content websites owned by web publishers.

Google Blogger – It is a Google‘s free blog software service. Sign-up is Free. You can get one just like mine here and place some Google AdSense ads in it and earn some extra money.

Google Analystics – This Free service offered by Google allows you to track and generate detailed statistics about your visitors. It was primarily aimed at Google AdWords but now it is for everybody else to use.

Google Translation – Google offers this Free service to help you translate the web page to be whatever language you want it to be.

There are many more Google services but it can not be listed here in one single post. If you think there are a couple more important ones that I should list them here to benefit my visitors, please let me know in the comment section.
